Library

General Information

All students will be allowed to check out two books at a time.  If they return one, they may check out one title, so they always only have two books. 

DAMAGED OR LOST BOOKS:If your child damages or loses a book, you must pay to replace the book.  

Students may not check out any further books until their account has been settled. 

Any books not returned by the end of the year, the student forfeits their report card.
At the end of the year, report cards are held until the fine is paid in the main office during summer.

BOOK DONATIONS

While we appreciate new additions, please note that books should be in gently used or brand new condition.  Hardcovers are preferred since they tend to last longer!

Searching For Books in the Library Catalogue:

Directions to search from school:

  1. Click Here: Access Library at School
  2. Or from the list on our district home page click on: School eResources.  Click on Follett Library from School.  Then click on Steelton-Highspire High School.
  3. From here you can search by typing in: 
  • a keyword & then hitting the keyword icon 
  • the title of the book & then hitting the title icon 
  • an author & then hitting the author icon  
  • a subject & then  hitting the subject icon or 
  •  a series & then hitting the series icon.

  3. Go up to the top right hand corner & click on: log in
  4. Log in under your school user name & password
  5. From here you can search by typing in: 
  • a keyword & then hitting the keyword icon 
  • the title of the book & then hitting the title icon 
  • an author & then hitting the author icon  
  • a subject & then  hitting the subject icon or 
  • a series & then hitting the series icon
