SENIOR GOOGLE CLASSROOM

The Senior Google Classroom (muht467) has important information regarding fundraisers, prom, scholarships and graduation. Students - please make sure you are enrolled and frequently checking it to keep yourself up to date. Parents can be linked to your student’s account and enroll in email updates only. Parents CANNOT be added to the google classroom as a member of the class.

CLASS DUES

Senior dues at due 4/1 and are $150. Dues may be paid in two installments of $75 each, due on December 10, 2025 and April 12, 2026.

Dues cover the costs of: 

• Senior class t-shirt
• One prom ticket (guest tickets are an additional fee)
• Class trip
• Yearbook

Dues may be paid by cash, check or money order, and should be made out to "Steelton-Highspire School District".

Senior dues DO NOT cover Cap and Gown orders.

SENIOR CLASS TRIP INFORMATION

On May 13th, 2026, the Class of 2026 will be taking our class trip to New York City! The students voted on both the location and the educational activity that we will take part in while we’re there, and we’re looking forward to this opportunity to get to explore New York City before the seniors become high school graduates!

The cost for this trip is FREE, as it is included in the cost of class dues.

If students wish to purchase any snacks, lunch, souvenirs etc. during this trip, they are welcome to bring extra money to do so. Transportation will be provided by a charter bus company to and from New York City, and there will be breakfast available in the morning. We are also working on a plan for dinner that will be shared once it is finalized.

 

TIMELINE OF CLASS TRIP (May 13th, 2026)

• 6AM-Be at the high school main entrance at 5:50 AM (If you are not there on time, the bus will not wait for you!!)
• Approx. 9:45/10 AM- Arrive at Central Park Zoo (buses will stay parked there)
• Approx 12/12:30 PM- Leave Central Park Zoo to head to Times Square
• Approx 12:30/1:00 PM- Take group picture in Times Square; split up in groups (TBD) to get lunch and sightsee (we will go over all expectations with students prior to the trip)
• 2:45 PM- Start making your way back to Central Park/Central Park Zoo
• 3:20 PM- You MUST be back at the Central Park Zoo bus area to board the buses
• 4PM- BUSES leave to return to Steelton
• Approx 7:50/8:00 PM-Return to Steelton

*Please note that times listed are subject to change.

There are behavioral expectations and requirements that students must meet in order to be eligible for participation in this field trip:

• Must have paid class dues
• Must be eligible to graduate (not in danger of failing)

*As a gentle reminder, please keep in mind/remind your student that they are representing Steelton-Highspire School District and any inappropriate/unsafe behaviors will not be tolerated. Failure to adhere to rules/expectations/ will result in consequences, which can include not getting to participate in the graduation ceremony*

Please sign the attached permission slip return it to school by THURSDAY, APRIL 16, 2026.

Students who do not return their permission slips will not be allowed to attend the class trip.

We MUST have this permission slip on file in order for your child to attend.

Please send this form in addition to the CONSENT AND LIABILITY FORM (attached to this form-4th page) no later than THURSDAY, APRIL 16, 2026 to Ms. Schuyler.

SENIOR AWARD CEREMONY

You're invited to join us for the Class of 2026 Senior Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, May 20th at 9:00 AM in the high school auditorium. This special event is reserved for parents, guardians, and families of our graduating seniors.

We look forward to celebrating the accomplishments of the Class of 2026 with you!

CAP & GOWN

Normal Registration closes on March 8, 2026 at 11:59 p.m.

There is an additional charge for late orders.

CHROMEBOOK COLLECTION FOR SENIORS

• Seniors Chromebooks should be returned to the Technology Office by May 27, 2026.
• Students will receive an invoice for any devices, cases and/or chargers not returned to the school by Thursday, May 28, 2026 and for any damages to devices or accessories.

GRADUATION PRACTICE

Graduation Practice & Senior Cookout

• Date: Wednesday, May 27, 2025
• Arrival Time: 9 AM
• Elementary Farewell Walk: 12:45 PM
• Practice: 9-12:30 PM (mandatory)
• Cap & Gown + Tickets will be distributed after practice
• Senior Cookout will follow as a final celebration with classmates
